Leadership support and development
Leadership Development Project. If you hunger for leadership coaching, peer feedback, and an opportunity to deepen your management skills, this could be the program for you. WSCADV offers support networks for Women of Color and New Directors. Learn more.
Regional directors meetings. We encourage directors to attend the meeting in their area — or travel to other regions to see what their peers are up to! Check our calendar for upcoming meetings.
Board membership. You might consider advancing your knowledge and skills by serving on the Coalition's Board of Directors. Contact us if you are interested.
Networks for those with specific job duties
The Coalition sponsors organized activities for the following groups:
- Legal advocates
- Shelter managers
- Welfare advocates (including those out-stationed in CSOs)
- Advocates working with immigrant and refugee survivors
- Children's advocates
Reports on training attendance
WSCADV can provide reports to Member Programs that list the trainings their staff and volunteers have attended. You can use these reports to document training hours and show that you have complied with education requirements. Contact us to request a report.
Please note: WSCADV does not certify its trainings through any government or private entity. Contact your funder to find out if WSCADV training hours fulfill their education requirements.
Pilot projects
Periodically, WSCADV receives funding to support pilot projects. Pilot sites are programs that agree to do field testing of training materials or assessment tools. In exchange for being a pilot site, programs receive goods, services and/or financial support. Opportunities are advertised on the directors email list. Directors, contact us to make sure you are on this list.
General assistance
WSCADV staff are available to help member programs during regular business hours. We can help you find a resource, solve an especially sticky problem, or simply listen. Contact us.
