The Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence is currently working on many projects, including:

Refuse To Abuse
In partnership with the Seattle Mariners, the Coalition conducts an innovative domestic violence prevention campaign featuring popular Mariners' players.

Advocacy Based Counseling (ABC Trainings)
The Coalition provides specialized training for domestic violence victim advocates on advocacy-based counseling (as defined by WAC 388-61A-0145).

Fatality Review Project
The Coalition convenes community based multidisciplinary groups to review and analyze the circumstances surrounding domestic violence related deaths in Washington State, and makes recommendations for policy, service, and community responses to domestic violence.

Economic Justice Project
The Coalition promotes economic justice for battered women through examining public benefits, monitoring welfare policy initiatives, and collaborating with anti- poverty groups statewide.

Web Based Resources for Advocates and Survivors
The Coalition has designed a web-based resource to help advocates and survivors access needed information to help rebuild personal and economic stability.

Disability Advocacy Project
The Coalition develops training curricula, service protocols, and models for collaboration that will increase and enhance support and advocacy for people with disabilities who are victims of domestic violence. (Click here to view and download protocols)

Technology Safety Project
The Coalition has launched innovative initiatives to educate survivors and advocates on how to use technology safely to escape abusive relationships. The challenge is to stay one step ahead of perpetrators who are misusing technology to terrorize their victims.

Legal Advocacy Project Survey
This survey will help us develop strategies for providing technical assistance and support to domestic violence legal advocates. We hope to hear primarily from current and former community-based domestic violence legal advocates, including those who are funded by any of the following contracts: DVLA, STOP, General Crime Victims. Please complete the survey by December 14, 2007.

WSCADV Annual Conference
Each year, the Coalition sponsors a statewide conference for domestic violence advocates, community organizers, and colleagues. Conferences include opportunities for training, networking, and resource sharing.

WSCADV Networks and Caucuses
The Coalition supports the networking and organizing efforts of several constituent groups, including survivors of domestic violence, women of color, lesbian/bisexual/transgendered/gay people, immigrants and refugees, Native American advocates, and Jewish people.

Public Policy Advocacy
The Coalition reviews, monitors, and analyzes state and national public policies related to domestic violence. To that end, we participate in committees and work groups that address a variety of social justice issues and initiatives. Learn about WSCADV's efforts at the Washington State Legislature.

Votepower
A ground-breaking initiative to increase battered women's participation in the voting process in 2004 and beyond...
