2012 Domestic Violence Fatality Data

In 2012, 53 people died in Washington State as a result of domestic violence.  These deaths include domestic violence victims killed by partners and ex-partners; friends, family members and children killed by abusers; and homicides and suicides of abusers.

The Washington State Domestic Violence Fatality Review has published six reports with recommendations to improve the community response to domestic violence in our state. Domestic violence is preventable. Find resources and learn more about how to take action in your community.
